The Spice Girls formed the most famous pop groups in the UK. Selling over 31 million copies with their debut album, worldwide. They’re the best-selling female group and pop group of all times and the biggest British success after The Beatles. They first split in the year 2000 and have since reunited three times, from 2007 to 2008 when they got together for a worldwide tour, had a small reunion in 2012 for the Summer Olympics closing ceremony, and in 2018 announced a new reunion, going on tour through the UK in 2019, but without Victoria. But let’s see what they’ve been up to since their first break up.

Melanie Brown or Scary Spice

Mel B! After the Spices split, she started her solo career, but is her television work what has her in the spotlight. Mel joined the Australian version of the X Factor in 2011, and then became a judge for the American Version in 2014. She has also taken part of Dancing with the Stars and worked as a judge for The Voice Kids and America’s Got Talent. The artist has three daughters, from Jimmy Gulzar, Eddie Murphy and Stephen Belafonte.

Melanie Chisholm or Sporty Spice

Mel C became the most successful spice in launching a solo career. Her debut album was released in 1999 and sold more than 4 million copies, that means she has sold over 29 million records counting her time with the Spice Girls, she is the only UK female performers to do so in the charts as a solo artist, as a part of a duo, quartet and, of course, quintet. She has one daughter with Thomas Starr.

After the split she also embarked on a solo career but found her success in radio and television. She was a recurring character in Absolutely Fabulous from 2003 to 2012. She has hosted Don’t Stop Believing, and was a judge on Dancing on Ice. She has two children with her on-and-off partner Jade Jones.

Geri Halliwell or Ginger Spice

She quit the Spice Pantry in 1998, and became a very successful solo artist, producing three number one singles in her first album. She launched 2 more albums before putting a hiatus in her career from 2005 to 2016, when the fourth album of her solo career leaked online. She has a son with her current husband Christian Horner, and a daughter from her former marriage with Sacha Gervasi.

Victoria Beckham or Posh Spice

Victoria was always known for wearing little black dresses, and not much for her singing skills but for her amazing posing abilities. In the year 2000 she started her solo career but ended it in 2004. Later in 2008 she launched her own fashion label and is now one of the most renowned designers today. She has four children (Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper) with her husband David Beckham and they are one of the most enduring celebrity couples of our era, together since 1999.
